Who is behind it?
We are Gabriel and Elisabeth : the founders of GAWALIS. We have been passionately traveling to the world's exotic countries for years and have fulfilled our dream of traveling around the world in 2022. In addition to our incredibly great memories and experiences, we have become professionals in one thing above all: what you really need in your suitcase!
The idea
On many beaches we noticed again and again how difficult it was for people to take their heavy, soaked and completely sandy towels home with them. The 5-color 'summer' patterns weren't really an eye-catcher either.
So we thought: Why aren't there functional AND beautiful beach towels?
And so the idea of GAWALIS was born (somewhere in the middle of Guatemala, btw.).
